PGdebt 9 feature list

New features in PGdebt 9

Common Financial Statement NEW version

Money Advice Trust , British Bankers Association and Finance and Leasing Association have introduced a new version of the CFS.
Full details are given on a separate page.
CFS details .
The main change is that the trigger figures are now calculated separately for each client and depend on the actual number of adults, children under and over 14, and vehicles. This means the figures are much higher in many (but not all) cases.
The classic PGdebt financial statements are still available but the old style CFS is no longer available. This allows the adviser to avoid the CFS if this is best for their client. The CFS has several advantages, but it is not mandatory

Full budget sheet The CFS has an extensive budget sheet which covers every type of expenditure a client can have. This is now included in PGdebt. Items of income and expenditure added here are carried across to the income and expenditure totals screens
Trigger figures are now updated via the internet This means you always have the latest figures available. The program checks the PGC web site and automatically download any changed triggers
Older CFS files and PGFS files stay as they are, but they can be updated to the latest figures individually if required. This avoids all files being changed just because the triggers change
Ability to send email direct from the program A fully featured email system is included, with email-merge running alongside the PG printed letters mailmerge system. Letters can be merged and sent as encrypted email attachments with or without the financial statement, with all email addressing etc handled automatically. Potentially very large cost savings can be made by using email not post. This can be completely locked out if not required.
New assets screen The CFS assets section is now included in PGdebt
Letters handling improved Letters can be any length, with or without headers and footers, mailmerge letters can be different lengths
The opportunity has been taken to resolve a few issues with the word processor.
Ability to export PGdebt data as a .csv Client files can be exported as a .csv file for interface with your own word processor or external systems.
New MAT CFS licence introduced Money Advice Trust have introduced a separate licensing system for the CFS
This is not associated with PGdebt, however MAT have introduced a separate licensing system to ensure the CFS is used properly. You can obtain your license number from the MAT web site licence page. It is possible that some creditors may not accept that the CFS without this number. It is easy to get a number.
